The Best View in Town for Coffee and High Tea

Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff

“The real difference that returning guests will notice is something they will feel rather than see, and that’s the caring, personal service for which Four Seasons is renowned all over the world”

1 December 2014 marked the opening of Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg after a one and a half year refurbishment and renovation process. The Westcliff was previously owned and run by Orient-Express Hotels Limited, until it was sold in December 2012 to a joint venture partnership between Albwardy Investment and Hotels Properties Limited.

The New Year

In the New Year guests and visitors will enjoy five exciting new dining outlets, a nine treatment room destination spa, deli, lap pool and 117 newly decorated contemporary African-inspired rooms and suites.

Panoramic Elevators

Two new transparent panoramic elevators will take guests on a striking visual journey to the upper part of the property, where the two main restaurants, View and Flames, are perched high up on the Westcliff hillside offering spectacular views of the city below.

Flames Grill – Artisan Braai and Craft Beer

Flames is currently operating and serving meals with an outlook of spectacular views second to none!  The Westcliff has long been known for its stunning views across the leafy north and the Johannesburg Zoo, thanks to its hillside location on eight acres (three hectares) of prime land.

On A Clear Day You Can See Forever

With expansive terrace and sunset views Flames will be a popular venue with grilled specialties paired with South African wines and local craft beers. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and cocktails and dinner will be served.

Spa Complex

There is an all-new spa complex, two swimming pools and families will appreciate the fully supervised Kids for All Seasons seasonal program and the inclusion of a home theatre in some of the hotel’s suites.  The Spa at Four Seasons will be an oasis of pampering and well-being. Inspired by nature, it features nine treatment rooms – including a couple’s suite – plus a menu of massages, skin care and body treatments. Full facilities for men and women – both hotel guests and day visitors – include change rooms, saunas and steam rooms as well as the outdoor Après-Spa lounge.  Close to three hectares of landscaped gardens offer jogging or walking paths, and the concierge team can also provide route maps through the park next door.

Cellar Door

The wine cellars are currently being stocked with the country’s best regional bottles, which can be experienced in the Cellar Door, an intimate venue that will host wine tastings and other special events, and is available for private bookings for up to 20 guests can be made for February 2015.  The Cellar Door will feature a South African hand crafted 20 seater ‘Umdabu’ wine tasting table!
